PokerStars, one of the world’s most well-known poker websites, has the announced what it says is India’s first ever poker tournament series called the Diwali Rush that will start on October 28 and ends on November 5.
Touted to be country’s first local poker series, the multi-table tournament has a guaranteed prize pool (GTD) of over Rs. 1.5 crores and will also offer a Platinum Pass package to the PokerStars Player’s NL Hold’em Championship (PSPC) in the Bahamas.
Diwali Rush will include 34 events that will culminate in the main event scheduled for November 4 which has a guaranteed prize pool worth Rs 30 lakh. The poker series is offering a sum of over Rs 32 lakh in the free prizes, deposit offers and a lot more.
Listed below are the giveaways that will be a part of the Diwali Rush poker series:
- Diwali Rush tickets worth more than Rs 5 lakh will be added to the Daily Second Chance Freerolls
- Two Deposit offers that will give players a chance to play in the main event without having to pay the Rs. 7,700 join-in fee
- Diwali Rush tickets worth over Rs. 2 lakh will be added to the Diwali Rush Freerolls
The biggest draw of the series is the Platinum Pass package for which players have to join at least three Diwali Rush events, after which they’ll be given a ticket to participate in the Diwali Rush PSPC Freeroll that will be held on November 5. The Platinum Pass includes the flight and accommodation charges, as well as the buy-in for the PokerStars Players No Limit, Hold’em Championship in the Bahamas which has a prize pool worth $8 million and will be organized in January next year.
